The premiere of Suede’s new album and film at Camden’s Roundhouse in November made our gig of the year shortlist (winners announced 3/1/16) and on 22/1/16 the band releases ambitious seventh album Night Thoughts. Like Kids is a beautiful (ones), in-the-face reminder for those who’ve not been keeping up.
Our favourite four little Christina Aguileras sang Ain’t No Other Man (performance clip below) and survived Saturday’s shock elimination by the skin of their teeth. This week the public chose I’ll Be There by the Jackson 5 for them to sing in Saturday’s Juke Box show.
The undisputed Queen of Pop’s Rebel Heart tour arrives for two nights at The 02 from 1/12 and we’ll be reporting from there for you. Stairs, flares, nails, an outlandish hat and a shaved head reveal – Seann Miley Moore continues to give us more – in spades. Life On Mars was an incredible song choice for a This Is Me themed week but we’re looking for him to switch it up with something more modern and dance floor 7/11.
Strictly always does theme weeks brilliantly (think also Movie Week) and the make-up, costumes, music and mood will undoubtedly be monstered-up to the max. The fact that it’s actually shot live on actual Halloween this year will certainly add to the frisson.
