We’re here because we love lead singer Dan Gillespie Sells’ detour into musical theatre with Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and this show proves just how different we feel to most of this band’s fans.
Tammy Faye Messner was an American evangelist, singer, author, talk show host, and television personality. This musical about her life includes music by Elton John, lyrics by Jake Shears and a book by James Graham (Ink, Almeida and BBC1’s Sherwood). It stars Katie Brayben and Andrew Rannells (The Prom and The Boys In The Band). Runs 13 October through 3 December. Tickets Review

4-and-a-half years ago we took the train from London to Sheffield hoping that the 1st musical by The Feeling frontman Dan Gillespie Sells (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) would be something special and we weren’t disappointed.

It must have been tempting for the creative team behind this musical about a teenage drag queen-wannabe desperate to wear a dress to his prom to rest on its laurels.
Dan Gillespie Sells is frontman of The Feeling and we gave his debut musical the full 5* when we saw it in Sheffield in February. It’s a real celebration of mothers and sons and transfers to the West End 6/11 booking to 21/4/18. Tickets. The soundtrack is an absolute treat but our favourite is cross-dressing musical-within-a-song The Legend Of Loco Chanel. Don’t. Miss.
