WORTH A LOOK?: *****
OUT: now
Eurovision season is in full swing and the song we most want to see competing in Tel Aviv in May is a gorgeous ballad with a gigantic dramatic key change sung beautifully by a former contestant who finished 19th in 2010 in Oslo in a completely different style.
- Read on for reasons including who we want to see represent Norway at Eurovision 2019
Moving On by Hera Björk (listen below) takes part for Iceland in the final of Söngvakeppnin 2019 on 2 March but will face tough competition from the hardcore growl-fest that is Hatrið mun sigra (Hate Will Prevail) by the photogenic Hatari.
The victor has been drawn in the 2nd half of the 1st semi on 14 May against other countries including Finland. The song Hera made the final with in 2010 was a dancefloor stormer that we remember fondly from our visit to our 8th live Eurovision (see below).
2 March also sees Norway select its entry and special mention must go to KEiiNO’s Spirit In The Sky (listen below) which is on last, is the big favourite and the finest ethno schlager banger of the season. It also includes the lyric: ‘I am dancing with the fairies now.’ We. So. Are.
