‘This one’s not my 1st rodeo’ sings Goodrem on the latest and rockiest of the trio of singles released so far from new album Pure which drops in November.

‘Time has a way of making you strong’ she muses as a piano-led verse transforms to an anthemic chorus of: ‘I’m strong and I’m fierce, a survivor, can’t change the past but I’m wiser. I conquer it all – a Warrior.’

Goodrem’s about to take part in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and finished 4th for Australia in this year’s Eurovision with Eclipse, a song of the month for us in March.

Eclipse has also been longlisted for monstas for Best Performance Of A Song and Best Song of 2026 and was definitely the right choice for Eurovision.

Goodrem’s vocal is exquisitely clear, powerful and reminding of Karen Carpenter and we loved the progression from standing with a harp, moving along a walkway to at and then above the piano.

If only the riser at the end had reached a little higher this would have been perfect although it’s our favourite ever Eurovision performance against stiff competition.

The 2nd single from Pure – out 6 November – is the upbeat catchy and memorable Hologram. What is it with all these 1-word titles?

Can’t wait to catch Goodrem live at the London Palladium in February 2027.
