WORTH A LOOK?: *****
OUT: now
Ladies – start your engines. We’re big fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and so, when monstagigz favourite MNEK appeared to produce rival girl groups, we thought the results would be good but we weren’t quite prepared for two fabulous versions of a great original song.
- Read on for reasons including why favourite Cheryl Hole’s Filth Harmony wasn’t our pick
We caught Cheryl Hole in Gals Aloud in September and knew she could death drop but it was the Frock Destroyers (the hilarious Baga Chipz, filthy Blu Hydrangea and our all-round talented tip for the win Divina de Campo) who absolutely slayed the challenge and sashayed away with our Song Of the Month title.
Baga’s self-penned lines managed to reference some of her greatest moments in this inaugural season including her comedy ‘Much better’ catchphrase as a servant in acting challenge Downton Draggy and Margaret Thatcher impersonation in the Snatch Game.
Frock Destroyers for Eurovision? Aren’t DDC’s rap and high notes amazing? A special shout out to The Vivienne who we’ve also appreciated during the series especially for her Donald Trump impression.
Bring on the final. We can’t wait to see Baga Chipz in pantomime at the Trafalgar Studios this Christmas and the news that Drag race UK is returning for a second season is even more case for, ahem, condragulations. Now, don’t f*** it up!
