2. Robyn releases Honey album

Come back single Missing U was 1 of our songs of 2018 so far. New album Honey, Robyn’s 1st for 8 years, is out 26/10 and collaborators include Metronomy’s Joseph Mount.

3. Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born

Lady Gaga twice cancelled The O2 dates we were supposed to see her at in 2017 and 2018 and so it is with a little less enthusiasm than normal that we approach her debut film starring role in this remake directed by and featuring Bradley Cooper. Out in the UK 3/10. Tickets

4. Jim Broadbent in A Very, Very Dark Matter

Martin McDonagh’s (Three Billboards, Lieutenant Of Inishmore) new play stars Jim Broadbent and Phil Daniels and looks at the life of Hans Christian Anderson. Runs at the Bridge Theatre 12/10 through 6/1/19. Tickets

5. Twelfth Night at the Young Vic

A new Artistic Director inevitably transforms a venue and so Kwame Kwei-Armah arrives at the Young Vic with his hit musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in tow. Runs 2/10 through 17/11. We’d put money on a West End transfer. Tickets

6. Macbeth starring Christopher Ecclestone

The Royal Shakespeare Company brings this production starring a former Doctor Who to this City venue. Runs 15/10 through 18/1/19. Tickets

7. Maisie Williams in I and You

Hampstead Theatre is a venue that is staging more of what we think is interesting and here offers a Game Of Thrones heroine in something a little more modern day. Runs 17/10 through 24/11/18. Tickets

8. Suede tour Blue Hour

New album The Blue Hour is one of their least accessible (not a bad thing) but it’s live that the band always excel. They play Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo twice this month. Tickets

9. The Wild Duck at the Almeida

Director Robert Icke is a familiar face at this venue and was last year behind the award-winning West end transfer of Hamlet into the West End. Here he takes on Ibsen. Runs 15/10 through 1/12. Tickets
