2. Suede on tour and in Brighton
Suede won our 2025 Best Album monsta for Antidepressants. We last saw them live last year when they debuted that album in full and wrote: ‘The earlier-than-expected start heightens the urgency of the material. Suede are calling it ‘post punk’ and to these ears it’s leaning into goth rock, not a genre we would normally tarry with, but is delivered with the vigour you would expect from a band which is currently producing its most critically acclaimed work – in its 2nd phase.’ We see them on this UK and European tour at the Brighton Centre. Tickets
3. FlO2 or Florence and the Machine at The 02
Recent LP Everybody Scream was an album of the month for us in December 2025 and we wrote: ‘It’s this album’s later songs where the horror of what has happened is brought home not least on the choral, multi-layered vocals of Kraken where Welch reflects: ‘Sometimes my body seems so alien to me … As the water rises up around me.’ There are 2 London gigs at The 02 during a tour which is booking through to Leeds and Reading in August 2026. Tickets
