WORTH A LOOK?: ****
‘When you asked: ‘What’s your name, what’s your sign?’ ‘I’m Kylie, it’s Gemini.’ ‘What’s your drink, let me buy.’ ‘You had me when you said: ‘Hi!’ ‘Hi!’

So far, so Heartstopper which returns for a 3rd Netflix season in October.
Written by Padam co-writer Ina Wroldsen, Steve Mac and Tove Lo, My Oh My was premiered as part of a fictitious girl group number for Kylie’s recent Hyde Park gig and it very much stands up away from that show.
The ‘la, la, las’ will remind of perhaps Kylie’s biggest hit and we’re hoping its inclusion on a repackaged version of Kylie’s last album Tension will be accompanied by the announcement of a UK arena tour including gigs at London’s 02 because it feels too long since we last saw our favourite Aussie live.
There were 18 months between the 1st time we saw Kylie live on the Enjoy Yourself tour at the now-no-more London Arena in Docklands in 1990 and the 2nd on the Let’s Get To It tour at the old Wembley Arena.
But for us it was the most thrilling period of her 35-year musical career as she shed her pop puppet persona and started to take clear control of her new grown-up image.
It reminds us of her gig at what is now the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith in March 2001 on her On A Night Like This tour when she played Can’t Get You Out Of My Head before its release and it was clear she had a worldwide smash prepped and ready to go.
That’s the feeling we have had for her more recently as she released her 16th album containing 2 of the best singles of 2023, Padam Padam and the album’s title track.
My Oh My is already top 30 in New Zealand and we can definitely see it becoming a UK summer hit.
