The UK’s biggest metropolitan festival has announced its first artists for next summer including our favourites Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sugababes and James.
Headlining Friday night is Stereophonics who mark 30 years together in 2022 so expect a celebration with 12th album Oochya! launching in spring.
Also appearing on Friday are Mancunian indie favourites James who are coming into their 5th decade and renowned for so much more than their biggest hit Sit Down.
Saturday afternoon will feature Sugababes whose 6 charttoppers include Freak Like Me, Round Round, Hole In The Head and Push The Button.
Sunday sees Kitchen Disco diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor on the line-up and we recently saw her support Steps at The 02. monstagigz favourite Declan McKenna who we saw in Brixton this summer also appears.
Speaking about next year’s festival Andy Marsh, festival director, said: ‘‘It’s nice to get excited about Victorious this side of Christmas. We’ve revealed here a little taste of what to expect next year with some massive acts confirmed but there’s so much still to come. 2022 is going to be a vintage year for Victorious.
