It’s been one of the most surprising Melodifestivalens ever and we’re very excited about the upcoming four duels that will see our eight-strong final become a dozen.

DUEL 1: FO&O:

OR Det Vet Du

VERDICT: A tough one: FO&O don’t quite have the quality of song that we were hoping for and De Vet Du were a lot more fun than we were imagining beforehand. FO&O‘s fanbase to swing it for them.

DUEL 2: Axel Schylström

OR Lisa Ajax

VERDICT: Axel gave a great performance but Lisa’s song has really grown on us in the last fortnight and, despite the swearing, we’re going Lisa Ajax.

DUEL 3: Boris René

OR Dismissed

VERDICT: Two songs we love for wildly different reasons. We suspect Boris René has the fans to see him through but we’d prefer it the other way around.

DUEL 4: Anton Hagman

OR Loreen

VERDICT: Perhaps inevitably our two favourite AC songs are drawn together. We’d prefer Anton to go through because we think he has the more commercial song but would imagine Loreen‘s star power will handbag him. Statements is proving quite the Marmite entry. We loved the Kate Bush imagination around the visuals but still feel the song is a bit of a racket.
