SONG OF THE MONTH: Talk To Me by Robyn (January 2026)

WORTH A LOOK?: ****

Talk To Me is the 2nd single from Robyn’s new album Sexistential which cements a sound reminiscent of 2010’s Body Talk trilogy during which she won most acclaim.

She’s back working with Swedish producer Klas Åhlund for the album, saying Sexistential feels ‘like a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing. That’s how I felt, like I’d had all these experiences searching too far out into space, and now I’m crashing back into myself’.

The topics so far broached let the listener into more personal parts of Robyn’s life as a new single mother, while gravitating around the concepts of physicality, desire and dance.

Also released is the title track (listen and watch below) which combines Prince-style vocal effects and rap.

Debut track Dopamine was a song of the month for us last year when we said: ‘Dopamine is so effortlessly up and effervescent it can sit easily with Robyn’s best work including UK charttopper With Every Heartbeat and Swedish number 1 Dancing On My Own.

We saw Robyn a lot at gigs in London around her imperial phase 15 years ago, later at Alexandra Palace in 2019 and even, surprisingly, for a Charli XCX collab at The 02 about a year ago.

Sexistential is Robyn’s 9th studio album out on 27 March 2026 and is her 1st long player for 8 years.

We’ve heard 3 of its 9 tracks, all co-writes with Åhlund and can’t wait to enjoy it in its entirety.
