The band was originally a four-piece group consisting of Maarja Kivi, Lenna Kuurmaa, Katrin Siska and Piret Järvis.
Kivi left the group in 2004 and was replaced by Triinu Kivilaan. In December 2005 she also left the group to start a solo career and the band decided to continue as a three-piece act. Kivilaan rejoined for their 2021 album Encore and she and Siska left the band in 2022 with new member Kerli Kivilaan joining.
Big in Estonia, Germany and Austria, in 2005 Vanilla Ninja represented Switzerland with the song Cool Vibes finishing 8th in Ukraine.
Too Epic To Be True reminds of Voice of The Beehive and The Bangles and is written by Sven Lõhmus who’s penned a number of Estonian Eurovision entries enjoying most success with Rändajad (Wanderers) by Urban Symphony which finished 6th in 2009 in Moscow.
Estonia selects its Eurovision entry in Eesti Laul on 14 February 2026.
