We said: ‘There is a song here, Breaking Down, that is so good and so well performed by Laura Pitt-Pulford that you’ll want to stand and cheer at its conclusion towards the end of the opening half.’

2. Bring Him Home by Alfie Boe from Les Miserables: The Staged Concert at Gielgud Theatre Review Tickets

We said: ‘We enjoyed the recent BBC version of Les Miserables but there was a gaping emotional hole where the songs would have been and Boe’s moving Bring Him Home is especially good here.’

3. I Dreamed A Dream by Carrie Hope Fletcher from Les Miserables: The Staged Concert at Gielgud Theatre Review Tickets

STOP PRESS: Hope Fletcher has been cast as Fantine in Les Miserables at the Sondheim Theatre from 18/12. Tickets

We said: ‘Hope Fletcher recently starred to much acclaim in the West End transfer of Heathers and here plays doomed single mother Fantine who does justice to arguably the show’s best known song I Dreamed A Dream.’

4. For Every Moment by Frances Barber from MUSIK at Leicester Square Theatre Review

We said: ‘MUSIK deserves a much longer West End run and soon.’

5. The Most Important Thing by Victoria Hamilton-Barritt from The View UpStairs at Soho Theatre Review

Screen Shot 2019-09-15 at 20.44.48

On our radar for the next 3 months are Tokyo Rose (Tickets), Mary Poppins (Tickets), & Juliet (Tickets) and Amelie (Tickets).
